Camp Manatee is offering a special deal for the 2012-2013  Winter Camp season. If your camper(s) will be  attending both sessions, the cost will be $134 for the 6 days. the additional fees, weekly transportation and annual registration, will still apply.

Hello Everyone,

It’s that time of year again! Camp Manatee will be hosting another fun-filled summer of activities for campers ages 6-14yrs. old. Registration starts this weekend (April 7th & 8th) at the Greynolds Park Main Office from 9:30am to 4:30pm and will continue every Saturdays and Sundays until camp begins. Space is limited, so make sure your camper(s) don’t miss out. Also please note the changes in our fees. There will now be a Before Care (7:30am-8:30am) and After Care (5:00pm-6:00pm) weekly fee of $10 as well as a transportation weekly fee of $11.  Before Care and After Care  is a fee for parents who need that service for their campers. Regular drop off time will be from 8:30am to 9:30am and pick time will be from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Camp hours will be from 9:30am to 4:00pm. Camp Manatee at Greynolds Park is looking for mature, responsible, kid-friendly people with a love of the outdoors, to work as counselors during the 2012 summer season. Applicants must be at least 17 years old to apply. If you or a friend is interested in applying for a position, please visit www.miamidade.gov/jobs and complete the online application. Once you’ve submitted an application, call Eric King or Aimee Scott at 305-948-2891 or 305-944-6111 respectively. You have until March 23rd to apply.

Make sure to apply to both the Summer Park Service Aide (#16085) and Summer Recreation Leader (#16090). You will need to send the confirmation email you receive from the website as well as a resume to both directors via email. Summer camp is a total of 10 weeks (June 11 – August 17) there will be training before hand and some additional hours following the 10 week summer. It will be a total of 40 hours a week (depending on camper numbers), Friday field trips, pool days, and just a lovely environment to enjoy the summer. Interviews will be held in the beginning of April. All applicants selected will be required to successfully pass a drug/alcohol screen and criminal background check prior to employment. It is also strongly recommended that applicants have CPR and First Aid training.

Summer Park Service Aide – $11.28/hr
Summer Recreation Leader – $12.69/hr
